Origin is developed by Grouptree, a UK-based technology company with over 20 years' experience creating digital solutions for businesses and organisations.
Our roots in responsible sourcing go back to our work with corporate communications teams, leading to the development of a supplier engagement platform for a FTSE 100 company. As demand for more sophisticated supplier engagement and due diligence tools grew, we invested in developing Origin as a dedicated, configurable platform for responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence.
We continuously improve and evolve Origin, combining insights from our clients and advisory partners with the latest technologies to keep the platform at the forefront of responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence.

A founding director of Grouptree, William has spent over 20 years working with organisations to turn complex business challenges into practical technology solutions. He leads the company's overall strategy and shapes the direction of Origin, working closely with clients and specialist partners to understand their challenges, explore new approaches and identify opportunities for technology to improve responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence.
Technical Director
Scott has been with Grouptree for over 20 years and leads the technical architecture and innovation behind our platforms, overseeing product enhancements and the delivery of our technology roadmap.
He has guided the evolution of Grouptree’s technology through major shifts in digital infrastructure, data and, more recently, AI. Overseeing the product and development teams, Scott ensures our solutions remain secure, scalable and adaptable to evolving client requirements and technologies.
Head of Product & Innovation
As Head of Product & Innovation at Grouptree, Bethan has been part of the team for over 10 years and leads the ongoing development of Origin, turning client requirements and emerging responsible sourcing challenges into practical platform capabilities.
She works closely with clients and partners to design and deliver solutions that balance continuous product innovation with the flexibility to support specific processes and requirements. Her experience spans responsible sourcing, supply chain due diligence, workflow design and data management.
Head of Projects
Mark has been with Grouptree for over 10 years, pragmatic and highly experienced at delivering complex digital solutions.
He is adept at getting to the heart of a challenge, identifying potential pitfalls before they affect outcomes Mark coordinates with clients and our development and QA teams to keep projects running smoothly and focused on delivering the right outcomes. His expertise spans project planning, solution design, and systems integration, ensuring clients are well supported from initial requirements through to successful delivery and ongoing support.
Head of Development
Silvia has been with Grouptree since 2017 and leads the team responsible for turning product and project requirements into robust, practical solutions.
A highly experienced full-stack developer, she combines a deeply analytical approach to problem-solving with a collaborative, people-focused approach to leading the development team. Silvia remains hands-on with development while overseeing technical delivery, development standards and the adoption of new technologies.
